Etheric Auric Layer
The Etheric Layer or first layer of the aura is associated with physical aspects and awareness of the material body and is related to the first (Root) chakra. The etheric body extends from one quarter inch to two inches beyond the physical body and pulsates about 15-20 cycles per minute. As it is nearest to the human body, it is the densest layer but is on the next higher vibrational level to the physical body which has the lowest vibrational level. It bridges the connection of the material body to the higher bodies. The etheric layer is invisible to most people although this is the one you see when you first start to practice viewing auras. You will first observe it as a faint grayish-white color outlining the physical body. But with practice, you will see that it varies in color from a bluish gray haze or more properly sparks of blue or gray light moving around energy lines. Gray representing a more active person and blue being associated with a more passive person.
The first layer is an energy matrix and the form is shaped and anchored to the physical matter of the material body. The condition of this layer closely reflects the actual condition of the physical body. Its vibrancy indicates strong or weak health. This layer is the three-dimensional reflection of your physical body, meaning any injuries, cellular patterns, or impact of emotional trauma to the body will be evident within the physical aura. This field can also be seen around trees, plants, animals and even inanimate objects such as furniture. A white or black background will often highlight the etheric field.
